There are a few decent versions of Kidnapped out there, and in fact only one that is downright poor. Kidnapped (1960) is a fairly general, romantic and atmospheric rendering, made by disney and with the US market in mind, but it's still highly entertaining. Like most adaptations of Kidnapped, the 1960 film misses out on a few key scenes, but of course you can't have everything here. Also, there are some tremendous actors in the 1960 film; Duncan Macrae;Peter Finch; Bernard Lee; Peter O'Toole; John Laurie; and a certain James MacArthur who was just a kid here, but went on within eight years to play the lead in none other than Hawaii Five-O
